As part of a collaboration between Shapefarm and the talented team at A44, I contributed to the development and shipping of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn — an action-RPG open-world adventure built in Unreal Engine 4, with gameplay reminiscent of Dark Souls.

In this project, I served as the Technical Art Lead for the New Zealand-based team, managing and supporting a group of 4 tech artists. My responsibilities included:

  • Team leadership and mentorship, reviewing tasks and ensuring quality, consistency, and technical feasibility.
  • Workflow and pipeline development to support efficient cross-discipline collaboration and asset integration.
  • Performance optimization across multiple platforms, balancing visual fidelity with runtime constraints.
  • Bug fixing and technical support, addressing engine, content, and platform-specific issues throughout development and polish phases.

Flintlock is an action-RPG open-world adventure similar to Dark Souls made In Unreal Engine 4.
